As for the first four tomes, this fifth one is well edited and the settings are new and imaginative.Connor's tale takes a dare, it tries to establish the atmosphere of Europe between the two world wars and to investigate one peculiar fetish. Unfortunately the story is too abstract and does not involve (or intrigue) the reader.
Just as abstract, detached, unfortunately, is Ms Hore's that, although well written, ends by being boring.
Mr Dixon instead is back again with his light-hearted fun, rich of an eroticism that seeks no justification and always manages to be intriguing.
